Abstract

Five species of commercially important gorgonids in the Indian seas, falling
under the genera Thesia Duch. and Mich., Echinomuricea Verrill, Echinogoru'la
Kolliker and Heterogorgia Verrill, are recorded. All the species are described
and illustrated.
