Abstract

The study on wound healing has focused on similarities rather than on differences between species. Recent studies by authors have revealed significant differences between the cat and the dog with respect to cutaneous healing. These differences made us to reconsider wound care dogma of the feline species. Research has shown significant quantitative and qualitative differences in wound healing between cats and dogs and wound heals in the former more slowly. Since, Laser Therapy enhances the phases of wound healing, the present study was undertaken to access the efficiency of laser for chronic non healing in cats.
