Abstract

Post-harvest fruit rots lead to the wastage of some of the valuable inputs which are employed to bring up a healthy crop in the orchard. In view of this, post-harvest fruit rots caused by various fungi were identified and simultaneously fungal spores from the air of fruit shops were also trapped to assess such fruit rots which are incited by spores present in the air. During investigation, it was observed that there is a definite cyclic relationship between fungal air-spora of market and the prevalence of market diseases.
