Infection with sorghum red stripe virus significantly reduced the plant height, leaf area, juice yield and chlorophyll content at all stages of growth. Virus infection, however, significantly increased the stem juice Brix at 75 days after sowing. Genotype 168 was found to be tolerant to sorghum red stripe virus.
