ICAR Winter School on “Advances in management of inland open-water ecosystem healthâ€

Abstract
ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore organised an ICAR-sponsored winter school on “Advances in Management of Inland Open-water Ecosystem Health†during 21 January to 10 February, 2020. Scientists, University Faculty and Subject Matter Specialist from Krishi Vigyaan Kendras (KVKs) and Post-docs from Assam, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Tripura and West Bengal participated in the Winter School. Some of the important topics covered were: Recent approaches in aquatic ecosystem health assessment, Emerging contaminants in open water, Fish health management in inland open waters, Geospatial technology in inland aquatic resource management, Metagenomics, Aquatic ecosystem health for ensuring food safety and nutritional security, Impact assessment of barge movement, Water quality assessment tools, Ecosystem vulnerabilities toclimate change, Nanotechnology in ecosystem health assessment, Nutrigenomics, AI, Big data and IoT in aquaculture and fisheries, Environmental Management issues in wetlands and reservoirs, Economic valuation of ecosystem services, Economic valuation of ecosystem services, EDCs in open water ecosystems, 2-D electrophoresis, immunoblotting, PCR, fatty acid, amino acid, pesticide and heavy metals analysis by HPLC, GCMS, AAS, etc.Downloads
