Abstract
Aquatic ecosystems, their biotic communities and fisheries are highly stressed all over the world, including in India. Inland Fisheries Society of India (IFSI), ICAR- Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CIFRI), G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Aquatic Ecosystem Health & Management Society (AEHMS), and Professional Fisheries Graduate Forum (PFGF) joined hands to convene the conference entitled “Ecosystem Health and Fisheries of Indian Inland Waters: Multiple stressors, Management and Conservation†. The conference held at GBPUAT, Pantnagar, during 17-19 February 2020 provided an inter-disciplinary forum for interactions among experts, researchers, consultants, students, NGOs and other stakeholders to share information, exchange ideas, and formulate a consensus on how best to preserve health and biodiversity of Indian inland aquatic ecosystems.Downloads
