Abstract

nduced bred Ompok pabo larvae were reared in double filtered pond water in a nursery rearing unit comprising an overhead tank, flow through system, water showers and rearing earthen tub. The food of the larvae form 4th day boiled chicken egg filtered zooplankton, from 9th day was primarily chopped earthworms and mixture of rice polish and mustered oil cake and from 19th day, earthworms and dry fish powder. In 60 days the larvae attained the lengthy and weight of 8.5 cm (TL) and 2.75 g respectively with 50% survival.

Key words: Nursery rearing, Ompok pabo larvae, growth, Assam.
