Abstract
As per FAO report, a number of Asian countries majorly contribute to the Inland capture fisheries production including India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Cambodia have reported a steady or decline in fish catch. Though there are several potential threats behind this declining fish production trend, one of the serious threats is the development of water structure barriers including dams and barrages across the rivers.
