Abstract

A field trial was conducted to study the response ofspacing and weed management practices on yield and yield attributes of sunflower during kharif seasons of 2016 and 2017 at Eastern block farm of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Two years of field trial, revealed that yield attributes viz., head diameter, seed weight per head, number ofseeds per head, 100 seed weight, volume weight and seed yield were higher under the spacing of 75 cm × 25cm. Hand weeding at 15 and 30 DAS recorded higher yield among the weed management practices.
