Pesticidal activity of selected six medicinal plant extracts using acetone and methanol were evaluated against third instar larvae of Spodoptera litura at 250, 500, 750 and 1000 ppm concentrations under laboratory condition. Results indicated that methanolic extracts found to be superior to acetone extracts. Lower LD50 values ranging from 223.5 to 313.4 ppm was observed for Melia azedarach, Pongamia pinnata and Murraya koengi resulted in higher mortality of S. litura (75.6 to 94.5%).
