Abstract

A stable β-glucoronidase, hygromycin transformed Trichoderma harzianum was obtained by Agrobacterium mediated transformation. The confirmation was made with PCR and gel electrophoresis. This transformed strain was used to study the activity ofTrichoderma in the groundnut root with the aid of βglucoronidase gene expression. Microscopic analysis revealed Trichoderma colonization and the presence of GUSstained mycelium in the root section.
