Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Length: Manuscript should not be exceed 12 pages of the journal on double line spacing
(including figures, tables and illustrations) on one side of A-4. It should be the order of Title,
Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion,
Acknowledgements and References.

Title: It should containing the title of the paper, names(s) of authors), address where the work
was originally carried out and complete address of main author with e-mail details. A running
title of maximum 50 characters should be provided for the running headlines.

Abstract: The paper should be prefaced by an abstract (maximum 250 words) in one block
after author(s) name and address details, including the following elements in any abstract.

Key words: Up to six key words should be listed in alphabetical order after the abstract.
Introduction: The introduction should explain the aim of the paper highlighting the most
relevant work, not an elaborate literature review.

Material and Methods: It should be brief and informative.

Results and Discussion: It should be brief and informative.

Acknowledgements: This should be brief and specific.

Statement of plagiarism: The Journal does not tolerate any level of plagiarism in the
publication. The Publisher, Journal or Editorial Board Members, Reviewers and anyone
associated with Journal will not be liable to any copyright infringements caused by the authors
in any form by any means.

Editorial & Review Policy
The ISAH Indian Journal of Arid Horticulture follows a rigorous editorial and peer review
process to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of published content. The journal is committed to promoting high standards in scientific publishing and maintaining transparency in editorial decisions.

Editorial Responsibility

  • The editorial board, headed by the Editor-in-Chief, is responsible for the final decision on
    all submitted manuscripts.
  • Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific merit, originality, clarity, and
    relevance of the submission to the journal’s scope.
  • Editors ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated without bias regarding authors’
    nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or other personal characteristics.

Peer Review Policy: The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Each manuscript is initially screened by the editorial team to assess its suitability and compliance with journal guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two expert reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers are expected to evaluate the manuscript’s originality, methodology, clarity, relevance, and contribution to the field. Based on the reviewers’ comments, the editor may take one of the following decision:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
  • All authors have read and approved the manuscript and agree to its submission.
  • Any conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • The author guidelines should be followed strictly.
