Abstract

Two new species of Seinura, S. pinusa n. sp. and S. pointa n. sp., inhabiting bark of Pinus roxburghii, and one S. albizica n. sp. from Albizia lebbeck twigs infested with bark borers have been described. S. pinusa: Female- L= 0.74-0.96 mm, a= 36.9-41.2, b= 8.7-11.4, c= 9.9-16.3, V= 74.3-75.6, c’= 4.3-6.0, stylet= 16-18 μm, spermatheca elongated-oval with small rounded sperms, post uterine sac absent, tail elongated conoid to cylindrical ending in a stalk bearing star-like process at the tip. Male- Less frequent, spicules= 15 μm, tail conoid with a central mucro, genital papilla one, post anal. S. pointa n. sp.: Female- L= 0.53-0.65 mm, a= 30.1-36.7, b= 7.8-9.1, c= 16.4-22.4, V= 78.2-79.8, c’= 2.6-3.4, stylet = 15-16 μm, spermatheca elongated-oval with small rounded sperms. Post uterine sac absent, tail elongated conoid, slightly swollen or notched near tip on dorsal side and bearing a central mucro. Male- Less frequent, spicules= 14 μm long, genital papillae post anal, two, nearly equally spaced on ventral side. S. albizica n. sp.: Female- L= 0.64-0.87 mm, a= 21.1-30.1, b= 9.1-11.9, c= 3.9-4.7, V= 62.0-65.2, c’= 12.3-16.5, stylet = 22-24 μm, spermatheca not demarcated, sperms present in uterus near its junction with oviduct, vulva-anus distance 0.4-0.7 times the tail length, tail long filiform with a pointed terminus; Male- Abundant, spicule 17-20 μm, spicular tip bluntly rounded with cucullus, tail conoid with a short spike-like process, 26-40% of tail length, one pair each of precoacal and post cloacal genital papillae present on ventral side of tail.
