Abstract

This study investigates long-term variations in key climatic variables, including maximum, minimum, and mean temperatures
sunshine hours, humidity (
7.19 14.19
  )
) , , max min mean

, wind velocity, evaporation, rainy days, rainfall in Dehradun district of India over the period from 1931 to
2015. Trend analysis was performed on monthly, seasonal, and annual scales. Result shows that
7.19
shows the highest number of change points and
significant trends across the time series, while
14.19
displays no change point and exhibits a trend only in August. Overall, most time series are found
to be homogeneous, indicating the absence of significant change points. Notably,
min
year 1959. Annual time series for
14.19
 and
mean
show a statistically significant change point in the
, wind velocity, evaporation, rainy days, and rainfall were also found to be homogeneous. The study includes
graphical representations to illustrate observed trends and change points.
