A Comprehensive Study of Mean Estimators using Two Auxiliary Variables in Survey Sampling

This paper proposes a class of estimators for the finite population mean
by utilizing auxiliary information from two correlated variables
and
under simple random sampling without replacement (SRSWOR). The bias and mean squared error (MSE) of the estimators are derived using first
order approximation. Theoretical comparisons establish conditions under which the proposed estimators outperform traditional estimators such as the
unbiased, ratio, product, and difference estimators. An empirical study further confirms that the proposed estimators achieve lower MSE and higher
relative efficiency, demonstrating improved precision when dual auxiliary information is incorporated in finite population sampling.
