Frontline demonstration is one of the useful tools for transfer of technology as it is based on the pedagogy
principle ofseeing is believing. The demonstrations on whole package in oilseeds crops were conducted on farmer’s fields in different agro-ecological situations during 2014-15 to 2018-19 to show the productivity potential and profitability of improved technologies (IT). The results showed 24.53 per cent increase in average yield with IT (1513 kg/ha) as compared to farmers practice (1215 kg/ha).The additional net returns accrued with IT was ` 10, 227/ha. FLDs proved a positive impact on adoption ofimproved technology on oilseed crops. The priority should be given to extension agencies to organize FLDs for increasing productivity potential of oilseed crops.
