About the Journal

The idea for a separate journal catering to veterinary parasitology was conceived in 1986, when the Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP) was formed. The first volume of the journal was published by the Bihar Veterinary College, Patna, in 1987. The journal editorial office was then shifted to the Division of Parasitology, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, from where the journal functioned from 1987 to 2014. In 2014, the editorial office relocated to Chennai and has been operating from the Madras Veterinary College since then. The journal has been printed continuously from 1987 to date.
