Abstract

The comparative efficacy study of two synthetic inducing agents viz ovaprim and ovatide used for the induced breeding of Indian major carps, revealed the effectiveness of ovaprim over ovatide for the breeding of Catla catla. Ovatide resulted in higher fecundity and fertilization rate in Labeo rohita and Cirrhina mrigala as compared to ovaprim
