Abstract

The persistence of carbaryl residues in and on chilly following the application of Sevisulf 40: 50WP @ 0.75 and 1.25 kg ai/ha at fortnightly intervals was studied in the field. The initial deposits of carbaryl varying from 10.70 to 15.61 ppm dissipated fairly rapidly. The residues reached below the FAO/WHO tolerance limit of 5.0 ppm within 4 days.
