Chemical Composition of Precipitation in Major Physiographic Units of Nagaur District of Western Rajasthan
126 / 9
Abstract
The chemical composition of precipitation with regard to Ca, SO, CI, NO2, and F indicated a wide variation in concentration of these ions among four major physiographic units of Nagaur region in Western Rajasthan. In interdunal plain, the precipitation contained the highest concentration of Ca (12.4 ppm), SO4, (11.5 ppm) and F (0.37 ppm) while Cl content (18.00 ppm) was maximum in sandy plain. The results support the view that the local lithological formations have much influence on the chemical composition of the precipitation.Downloads
