Abstract

An integrated approach to delineate biophysical resource units for obtaining an integrated picture of the potentials of each land unit has been developed in respect of Bikaner district. The area of the district has been divided into ten major biophysical resource units according to certain homogeneity of landform, soil and vegetation. This integrated information on the biophysical resource units is intended to provide guidelines to the planners to utilize and develop the existing resource potentials of each unit in order to upgrade its agriculture production and to fix the funds for priorities in allocating developmental purposes.
