Abstract

The residues estimation of 0.01 per cent lindane, 0.05 per cent malathion and 0.02 per cent parathion sprayed at the fall' of 350 litres/ha on the fruits of brinjal were carried out by bioassay technique using Drosophila melanogaster Meig. as a test insect. There were initial deposits of 10-l1 ppm of lindane 17-18 ppm of malathion and 20-21 ppm of Dilation 00 the brinjal fruits. The residual of lindane, malathion and parathion reached below tolerance limits of 10, 8 and 1 ppm in 1, 3 and 10 days of the treatment respectively. The half life life values for lindane, malabtion and parathion on brinjal fruits were 5,2 -3 and 3-4 days respectively.
