Abstract

Five strains of Cenchrus ciliaris L. viz. 214, 262, 303, 357 and 368 screened by Central Arid Zone Research Institute. Jodhpur were tried at the Soil Conservation Research, Demonstration and Training Centre, Kota. It was observed that strain number 303 has shown maximum survival and produced maximum forage yield followed by strain no. 214 than strain number 357,358 and 262.
