Influence of Aeolian Dust on the Surface Soil Properties in the Central Punjab
79 / 10
Abstract
Surface Boils from three widely distributed soil series of the central Punjab, collected at short intervals with depth, were characterized in order to evaluate the role of aeolian duets which is occasionally observed during the pre-monsoon summer months. The data suggest that the wind-borne material appears to be responsible for contributing relatively high pH, EC, CaCo3 equivalent and exchangeable sodium to the surface soil properties of the Punjab soils.Downloads
