Abstract

The economics of three tillage operations were compared with the farmer's practice. The effect of rice husk in combination with sub-s.oiling, as well as 'cultivator' was also studied and it was found that all tillage practices without rice husk were economical over farmer's practice_ However. subsoiling tops the list by giving maximum profit of Rs. l528/- per ha., as compared to Rs. 1.131/- per ha. under farmer's practice. Rice husk was found uneconomical in the first year crop.
