Abstract

The growth responses of yearling heifers of the Kankrej breed to 5 different grazing treatments on a Cenchrus setigerus range in Western Rajasthan have been reported. It has been concluded that for optimum growth. it is essential to provide concentrates to the animals during the lean period i. e., from December to June Grazing on the carrying capacity basis has been considered the second best grazing treatment.
