Crop Maturity in Dry Agricultural Areas of Tehsil Charkhi-Oadri (Haryana), India

Abstract

This paper summarises the village wise crop maturity pattern of dry cultivated lands over ten kharif and rabi harvest seasons ( kharif of 1971 to rabi of 1977) in Charkhi-Dadri tehsil of western Haryana. It is found that the dry kharif harvest is more successful than the dry rabi harvest in this tehsil. Bajra and gram. the dominant crops of the kharif and rabi harvests respectively, are less successful in most of the villages of the tehsil.
