Abstract
The pink bollworm, a cryptic pest on cotton has garnered recent attention globally because of its outbreak in India where it caused huge yield losses on genetically modified cotton with 2 insect tesistance genes. Notably, this resilient pest has been identified in cotton-growing regions worldwide, except Uzbekistan. This paper explores several critical insights that have been overlooked in the realm of recommended strategies for managing pink bollworm (PBW), particularly in the context of India.
