Abstract
Milkfish was cultured in inland saline ground water for two consecutive years during 2000-2002 in earthen pond and the length-weight relationship of 440 specimens was calculated. The regression line followed curvilinear relationshipwith a ‘b’ value of 2.622. The coefficient correlation ‘r’ was 0.9978, which indicated a close relationship between the lengths and weights. The conditionfactor (K) and the relative condition factor (Kn) showed values around 0.9 to 1.0 respectively. The study indicated that the inland saline ground water is suitable for the culture of milkfish.
