Abstract

The experiment was conducted to evaluate the bioefficacy of ready mix formulation of carbosulfan + bifenthrin 30 EC against sucking pests of cotton at Agricultural Research Station- Banswara (Rajasthan) during the year 2014 and 2015. The results revealed that two doses of carbosulfan + bifenthrin 30 EC (1500 ml and 1250 ml/ha), bifenthrin 8 EC @ 800 ml and thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 200 g/ha effectively managed the population of jassids, whiteflies, thrips and aphids of cotton. The highest seed cotton yield of 524 and 2115 kg/ha was recorded in carbosulfan + bifenthrin 30 EC @ 1500 ml/ha during the year 2014 and 2015, respectively and statistically at par with carbosulfan + bifenthrin 30 EC @ 1250 ml/ha. The pre-mix formulation of carbosulfan + bifenthrin 30 EC spray even @ 2500 ml/ha did not cause any phytotoxicity symptoms on crop.
