Keywords:
Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki, Chilo partellus, chlorantraniliprole, imidacloprid, maizeAbstract
The efficacy of molecules viz., imidacloprid as seed treatment, chlorantraniliprole as soil application and Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki as foliar application was evaluated against Chilo partellus (Swinhoe) in Kharif maize at Ludhiana during 2013 and 2014.The standard check treatment i.e. deltamethrin was found to be most effective against C. partellus. The efficacy of chlorantraniliprole 0.4 GR @ 32, 40 and 48 g a.i./ha and B. thuringiensis var. kurstaki @ 0.18 ml a.i./l against C. partellus was found to be at par with each other. Imidacloprid 600 FS as seed treatment was found to be least effective against C. partellus.
