The experiments were conducted during the year 2016- 2017 in two cropping seasons viz., Kharif and Rabi at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pattambi using the rice variety Jyothi. The insecticide molecules tested during the periods were spinetoram + methoxyfenozide 36%SC@ 375ml/ha, spinetoram+ methoxyfenozide 36%SC @ 400ml/ha, DPX-RAB 55 @ 237.5g/ha, flubendiamide 480 SC @ 50ml/ha (check), chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @150ml/ha (check), acephate 95 %SG @ 526g/ha and dinotefuran 20%SG @ 200g/ha with an untreated control. The pooled results of two crop seasons trials revealed that the new insecticides spinetoram + methoxyfenozide 36%SC @ 400ml/ha was effective against gallmidge, rice yellow stem borer (dead heart and white ear)and leaf folder and was on par with check insecticides, flubendiamide 480 SC @ 50ml/ha and chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @150ml/ha. The grain yield per plot was higher in spinetoram + methoxyfenozide 36%SC @ 400ml/ha (5979 kg/ha) followed by chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @150ml/ha (4990 kg/ha) and flubendiamide 480SC @ 50ml/ha (4951 kg/ha) treated plots.Downloads
