A roving survey was undertaken in major pigeonpea growing areas of Karnataka to collect sterility mosaic disease infected samples showing different kinds of symptoms on different varieties and also incidence of sterility mosaic disease during Kharif 2015 and 2016. The results revealed that the incidence during the year 2015, maximum average incidence of 61.55 per cent was recorded in Yadagiri district and minimum average incidence was recorded in Chamarajanagar district with 1 per cent. Whereas during the year 2016, maximum average incidence of 47.66 per cent was recorded in Yadagiri district and minimum average incidence was recorded in Hassan district with 2.80 per cent incidence.Downloads
