Greengram crop suffers during early stages of its growth due to flea beetles and at growth stage due
to Spodoptera litura while at fruiting stage from spotted pod borer. Farmers resort to using of highly
toxic pesticides for more than 5 to 6 rounds resulting in toxicity to non-target organisims, and humans. There here had been continuous search for bio-pesticides. And in this direction M/s Dhana Crop Sciences has developed with its state art of technology Coropulse which is rich in amino acids, micronutrients, wintergreen oil and has the capacity to induce Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR). While the other is Oxymatrine, a biopesticide extracted from the roots of Sophoria flavescens which has the virtues of high efficacy on insects and safe to non-target organisms. Present study was conducted during Rabi 2021 with M.G.G- 37 green gram variety in a RBD design with five treatments and four replications. Green gram seed treated with Coropulse @10 ml/kg of seed recorded low flea beetle damage followed by foliar sprays of Oxymatrine 0.5 EC @ 300ml, 500 ml and 750 ml/ha done at 45 and 60 days of crop growth on all the treatments except control. Coropulse seed treatment followed by the application of Oxymatrine0.5 EC @ 500 ml and 750 ml/ha recorded low incidence of insect pests, more number of pods/plant, and thereby increasing grain yields/ha.
