Keywords:
Ampelomyces quisqualis - sporulation, germtube elongation, sporulation, Erysiphe polygoni.Abstract
PCR amplified product showed the size of 400 bp in 1.8% agarose gel. Analysis of double pass sequence results indicated that the sequence was 18S rRNA intervening region of the fungi Ampelomyces quisqualis. The isolate I 7 produced the higher disease powdery mildew in Blackgram by recording Percent disease index (PDI) of 78.37 followed by I13 isolate PDI 76.67. Ampelomyces quisqualis were able to exert significant influence in reducing sporulation of Erysiphe polygoni. Ampelomyces quisqualis was the most effective one recording the highest reduction of sporulation of 56.28 %. Ampelomyces quisqualis was the most effective one recording the highest reduction of germ tube growth of 58.09 %. Mycoparasitism includes hyphal abortion, conidial malformation, reduction in conidia, coiling and hyperparasitism.
