Abstract

A 2 yr old Non-descript dog, was presented with the history of frequent retching, vomiting, excessive salivation and anorexia for the past two days. The dog was emasciated, dehydrated and unable to open its  mouth due to trigeminal neuralgia. Palpation of cervical esophageal region revealed a hard mass. Lateral and Ventro-dorsal survey radiograph of neck region revealed the presence of a radio-opaque foreign body in the proximal cervical esophageal region. Esophagotomy was done successfully to remove the foreign body .
