Abstract

Lifters constitute an important functional unit of the sugarbeet digger. A study was conducted to observe the effect on lifting and con veying efficiencies of different types of stable lifters used in tractor operated sugarbeet digger in sandy loam soil. Results indicated that fork lifter performed better than share lifter with positive angle of incidence followed by share lifter with negative angle of incidence.
