Abstract

During the faunistic surveys conducted along the Malvan coast of Sindhudurg in Maharahtra, two species of opisthobranchs observed on coral embedded in the rocky pools, identified as Elysia ornata and Stylocheilus longicauda and are reported as the first ever sighting of these species from Malvan coast This paper discussed on the further underwater fauna! exploration studies along Sindhudurg coast that may lead to new inventory of many more species in this pristine coral ecosystem.
