Abstract

Population parameters of Shrimp scad, Alepes djedaba were estimated on the basis of length frequency data collected during March 2018 to February 2019. The asymptotic length (L∞) and growth coefficient (K) were estimated to be 289 mm and 1.0 per year respectively by ELEFAN. Age at length zero, t0 was estimated to be -0.00357 year by von Bertalanffy plot. Mortality parameters Z, M and F were estimated to be 3.23, 1.802 and 1.428 per year respectively. Length at first capture for A. djedaba was found to be 116 mm. The exploitation ratio was determined to be 0.45.
