Abstract
The length-weight relationship of four species of cyprininid fishesh-Salmostoma bacaila, Salmostoma novacula, Salmostoma cluepoides and Chela laubuca were studied from the four sampling site of Dimbe reservoir, Pune, Maharashtra, India during February 2009 to July 2010. The different relationship obtained for the species Salmostoma bacaila: Male W= 0.055* L2.912 and Female, W= 0.057* L2.665, Salmostoma novacula: Male W= 0.298* L1.742 and Female, W= 0.285* L 1.832, Salmostoma clupeoides: Male W= 0.101* L2.62 and Female, W= 0.09* L 2.591 and Chela laubuca: Male W= 0.215 * L2.243 and Female, W= 0.318* L2.341 The results have been compared with previous studies.
