Author Guidelines

The journal publishes research articles, review articles, research notes and short communications in basic and applied research on soil and water conservation, management of natural resources and rural development. Comprehensive review articles in the area of soil and water conservation including agriculture, horticulture, watershed, engineering and forest, conference/symposia proceedings and book reviews are also published in the Journal. To encourage the young researchers, short communication of findings of M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses in soil and water management issues are also published.
The journal is managed by the eminent soil and water conservation experts under the domain of Soil Conservation Society of India. The authors submitting papers to Journal of Soil and Water Conservation should be members of this Society (SCSI).
Paper submission

The soft copy of the manuscript may be submitted online on this portal.

At the time of manuscript submission, ensure that authors are annual or life members if SCSI.

The authors should submit the following declarations:

Â (a) The paper entitled â€œ........â€ has not been and will not be submitted in full or in part to any other journal till the decision of JSWC on it.

Â Â (b) On publication in JSWC, the copyrights on the full contents of the paper will be of Soil Conservation Society of India, New Delhi.

Authors should include the complete source of research article, like project, along with sponsor, M.Sc./Ph.D. thesis, etc. They should mention the title of the Project/Thesis also.
The length of papers should not be more than 12 (single space) typed pages, including tables, diagrams and appendices.
Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) with e-mail address(es) should be provided on first page along with the title of the article.
Only essential mathematical notations may be used. All statistical formulae should be neatly typed. Footnotes should be numbered consecutively in plain arabic superscripts.
References: Only cited works should be included in reference list. The citation of references should be in the following order: author(s) name(s); year; title of article; name of journal; volume; number; and pages. Please follow the style of citations as in the latest issue of this journal. Papers not submitted in the standard format, as suggested above will not be considered for publication.

Â Â Â Â Â Â The reference list should be alphabetized and not numbered. To avoid ambiguity, the title of journal should be given in full.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
