Pleurotus sajor-caju: An alternative source for bioconversion of wastes

Abstract
Present study deals with the waste disposal problem and cultivation of Pleurotus sajor- caju on different conventional and non conventional wastes. Different combination of agric and domestic wastes were used as substrates for cultivation of oyster mushroom. Among conventional substrates soybean straw and among non conventional substrates domestic waste was found suitable substrate. Combination of SS+WS, SS+DW and DW+UTL gave higher yield of mushrooms.
