Abstract
To know the status of pest incidence in mushroom, survey was conducted during 2014-15 to 2017-18 in major mushroom growing districts of Haryana state viz. Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, Rohtak, Panipat, Sonepat, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar. The mean of the four years data indicated that the mushroom flies’ incidence was higher in districts Karnal, Sonepat, Panipat and Rohtak compared to the other districts of state surveyed and among mushroom flies, the infestation of sciarid fly was higher as compared to the phorid fly. During the study, no incidence any insect pest or mite was observed in district Sirsa. It was concluded that the mushroom houses having cleanliness recorded lower incidence of insect pests compared to the others where sanitation practices were not followed properly.
