The investigation was conducted during the kharif and rabi seasons of 2022-23 and 2023-24 at Research cum Instructional Farm of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In kharif season, rice crop comprised of eight treatments in a randomized block design and replicated thrice. In rabi season, mustard crop was grown in the split-plot design with three replications. The residual of eight rice treatments were taken in main plot to study the effect of nutrient applied to rice on mustard crop. In sub plot two nutrient management practices viz. N1: STCR approach (target yield 2 t ha-1) and N2: 100% RDN through inorganic was studied. The result revealed that maximum growth indices (LAI, CGR and RGR), SPAD value and yield of rice were obtained with the Soil Test Crop response (STCR) approach (target yield 6 t ha-1) (100% inorganic) treatment. The residual effect of integrated nutrient management practices applied in rice on mustard registered significantly highest growth indices, SPAD value and yield in treatment STCR approach (target yield 6 t ha-1) (75 % inorganic + 25% organic). Among direct effect of integrated nutrient management practices in mustard, treatment STCR approach (target yield 2 t ha-1) produced significantly the highest growth indices, SPAD value and yield on mean data basis.
