Majority of the indigenous non-basmatiÂ aromatic rice, constitute small and medium grainÂ types, possessing excellent aroma and good cookingÂ qualities with respect to kernel elongation afterÂ cooking, softness, mouth feel and taste.A short grainÂ variety Sugandha Samba released in Telangana forÂ commercial cultivation facilitates availability ofÂ scented rice at relatively affordable price for an average consumer.
