Abstract

A few cluster front line demonstrations (CFLDs) on chickpea crop were conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chomu (Tankarda), District- Jaipur (Rajasthan) during rabi 2017-18 and 2018-19. A total number of 213 demonstrations were conducted with in an area of 90 ha in Jaipur district. The improved technology consist of improved variety, seed treatment, weed management, nutrient management and plant protection measures. The results were found that the maximum average yield in two years (20.49 q/ha) was recorded in demonstration plot and the minimum yield (15.55 q/ha) were recorded in farmers practices. The highest average net returns (`68,268/ha) were recorded in the demonstration plot as compared to farmers’ practice (`47,570/ha). The maximum B:C ratio (3.81) was recorded in the demonstrated plot and a lower B:C ratio (3.09) was found in farmer practices.
