Abstract

Seven genotypes of while clover (Trifolium repens L.) were compared for their response to phoshorus and rhizobium treatment. White clover being an out crossing species exhibit lot of variability both within and between populations. These seven genotypes also differed significantly in their morphology. These genotypes were treated with four doses of phosphorus (0, 13, 27 and mg P/kg soil) and two of rhizobium. The genotypes differed significantly in their response to these treatments in terms of morphology and biomass yield. Genotypes L100, L99, L27 and L10 yielded more biomass at low P level.
