Abstract

Response of combined effect of different levels of nitrogen, spacing and green fruit picking on growth and yield attributes of okra [Abelmoschus esculentus (L)Moench] was observed under agroclimatic conditions of eastern U.P. Four levels of nitrogen, two spacing and three level of picking were used. The result revealed that the maximum plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, fresh and dry weight of leaves, days to 50% flowering, maximum fruits yield and seed yield were recorded with high dose of nitrogen and wider spacing. Maximum fruit yield and seed yield were obtained at three picking with high dose of nitrogen and wider spacing.
