Abstract

A field experiment was carried out in kharif season of 2006 at research farm of CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur.The experiment consisted of 12treatment combinations viz., 2 FYM levels (0 and 5 t/ha), 2 fertilizer levels for maize (50% and 100% of RDF) and 3 fertilizer level for frenchbean(control, 50% and 75% of RDF). Recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF) for maize andfrenchbean was 120-60-40 and 50-100-50 kg NP-K / ha, respectivelyThe experiment was l aidout in RBD and replicated three times. Maize (Hybrid Kanchan 101) and frenchbean (Laxmipoletype) was sown in 1:1 additive series at spacing of 60 cm on June 1, 2006.
