Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Farm, S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner (Jaipur)
during rabi seasons of 2013-14 and 2014-15. The results revealed that variety Raj 3077 gave
significantly higher growth parameters viz. (plant height at 90 days after sowing (DAS), total number
of tillers/m row length, leaf area index (LAI) and leaf area duration (LAD), grain (4221 kg/ha) and
straw yield (5589 kg/ha) and nitrogen and phosphorus uptake by grain and straw over Raj 3765.
Application of 100% RDF gave significantly higher growth parameters (plant height at 90 DAS,
total number of tillers/m row length, LAI and LAD), grain (5009 kg/ha) and straw yield (6578 kg/
ha) and nitrogen and phosphorus uptake by grain and straw over control. Application of cycocel @
1000 ppm gave significantly higher growth parameters (total number of tillers/m row length, LAI
and LAD), grain (4138 kg/ha) and straw yield (5456 kg/ha) and nitrogen and phosphorus
(concentration and uptake) in grain and straw over control.
